somewhere, I forget where but I can see if I can find it if citations are needed lol. There's a huge swath of the playerbase that's more experienced than a brand new player but still isn't what people on the UI/Macro forums would call advanced when it comes to messing with the default UI/game experience. If nothing else, there should be an advanced tab of the interface options menu specifically for people who know that it's possible but aren't comfortable editing their config files or trusting random /script or /run commands that other people give them (especially given the recent outbreak in malicious script scamming). I feel like that's fine but a lot MORE people get confused when options they know exist suddenly stop being easily visible, or upset if something is seemingly removed (like the option to remove bloom/glow, which is still there but hidden). that a lot of the interface pruning happens so that new players don't get overwhelmed with the choices.
